Shipping policy

At Chromatic Coffee, we roast fresh to order and ship directly from our roastery and headquarters at:
460 Lincoln Ave, Suite 10, San Jose, California 95126, USA.

We take pride in getting your coffee from our roaster to your cup as quickly and reliably as possible.
Below you’ll find all the details about our fulfillment and shipping process.


1. Order Processing & Fulfillment

  • Freshly roasted to order:
    Most coffee orders are roasted and shipped within 1–3 business days after the order is placed.
    Orders containing merchandise or equipment may take up to 5 business days to process.

  • Roast days:
    We typically roast Monday through Friday, excluding holidays. Orders placed after noon (Pacific Time) on Friday are processed the following Monday.

  • Order changes:
    Once an order has entered the roasting or fulfillment stage, we may not be able to modify or cancel it. Please review your grind setting, address, and selections carefully before confirming checkout.


2. Shipping Methods & Carriers

We primarily ship via USPS depending on package size, weight, and destination.
You’ll receive a tracking number via email once your order has shipped.

  • USPS First Class / Ground Advantage:
    Typically 2–5 business days (for smaller coffee orders under 1 lb).

  • USPS Priority Mail:
    Typically 1–3 business days.

Delivery times are estimates provided by carriers and are not guaranteed.


3. Local Pickup (San Jose)

If you’re local to the Bay Area, you can select “Local Pickup” at checkout and pick up your order at our roastery:

You’ll receive an email notification when your order is ready for pickup. Please wait for this notification before coming by, as pickup times vary based on roast schedule.


4. Domestic Shipping (U.S.)

We ship to all U.S. states and territories.
Orders over $50 before tax (after discounts) may qualify for free or discounted shipping when available as a promotion.
Taxes and shipping fees are calculated at checkout.


5. International Shipping

We currently offer international shipping to select countries.
International transit times vary depending on customs and local postal services and may take 2–4 weeks.
Customs duties, taxes, and import fees are not included and are the responsibility of the recipient.

Please check your country’s import restrictions before ordering.
Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee delivery once the package leaves the U.S. or refund coffee delayed in customs.


6. Tracking, Lost, or Damaged Packages

  • Tracking:
    Once your order ships, you’ll receive a tracking link via email. Please allow up to 24 hours for tracking updates to appear.

  • Lost or stolen packages:
    If tracking shows “Delivered” but you can’t locate your package, check with neighbors, household members, or your local carrier office first.
    If the package remains missing, contact us at info@chromaticcoffee.com — we’ll help investigate and determine next steps.

  • Damaged packages:
    If your coffee or gear arrives damaged, please email photos of the box, contents, and shipping label to info@chromaticcoffee.com within 7 days of delivery. We’ll review and make it right.


7. Shipping During Promotions & Holidays

During peak seasons (e.g., holidays or major sales), fulfillment times may be slightly extended due to volume.
We appreciate your patience, we roast every bag fresh and pack each order by hand to ensure quality.


8. Incorrect Addresses

Please double-check your shipping address before checkout.
Chromatic Coffee is not responsible for packages delayed or lost due to incorrect or incomplete addresses provided by the customer.
If an order is returned to us as undeliverable, we can reship it once additional shipping fees are paid.


9. Subscription Shipments

Subscription orders follow the same fulfillment process as single orders.
You can update your address, skip, or pause a shipment anytime before your next renewal date using your Manage Subscription link.
Changes made after a renewal has processed will apply to the following shipment.
